A stranger on the Internet helped me start recovering from a lifelong eating disorder. Since then I've been writing on the topic, both here on NoNonsenseGuide.net and on this blog.


I started having anorexia symptoms at age 5 or 6. They got worse when I was a teenager, but eventually I developed a set of routines that kept me "high functioning" in college. I actually started getting better in my 30s after being exposed to some new biology-focused ideas about AN recovery.


I'm not eager to attach mental illness stigma to my real identity, so what I write here and elsewhere will be pseudonymous. I am:
